Walking in the Field of Stars – Stories from the Night Sky
Friday 2 August 20.00 – 23.00

A stargazing storytelling event for Sting in the Tale festival:
Walking in the field of stars

Cross a bridge made of hovering magpies and follow the wild hunt!

Join storyteller Lizzie Bryant on a dusk to dark star-lore story walk through an ancient landscape in the Cranborne Chase AONB, tracking your way across the summer night skies on a quest for the myths and legends of the stars and constellations.

Toast marshmallows around the fire and keep a look out for shooting stars from the Perseid meteor shower.

This event is organised by Cranborne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, in partnership with the Sting in the Tale, a festival of stories.

Suitable for adults and children age 8+.

Due to uneven ground this event is unsuitable for wheelchair users or those with mobility concerns. The walk distance is approx 3/4 mile in low light and darkness, stopping at places for stories and sky watching.

The event will take place under cover if the weather is bad. Event starts at 8.30pm, arrival from 8pm.

Any queries please contact storyteller Lizzie Bryant on 07834 770234.
